OCCUPYING PLANS
These set of plans examine the programme of the building and spaces that exist within in it by suggesting how the plan would be occupied by the students and public -
1 : 50 /project space
The project space that allows for timber panels to be slotted into the framework to create different learning environments and studio spaces. Semi-permanent walls means that the project space is in a constant state of flux, responding to the students personal or group projects.
1 : 50 /ideas space
Showing the ocuppation of ideas space allows for independent study and group studys as well as being used for for teaching (classrooms) - meeting between staff/student and giving presentations. highlighting variation as a result of occupation.
1 : 50 /public space
Explores the main public space of the building and the interaction between public and student. The cafe is backed on to a wide stairs that allows for informal/formal discussions/talks
1 : 50 /archive
Showing the archive located on the first floor - occupation of students and public, explaining how information is collected and stored within the server to create an archive/repository on; memories, information, an accurate record of Hulmes history from the publics point of view.
Thinking about the layout of the archive I developed a digital concept collage to think about the circulation and spatial qualities of the first floor archive.
