SYSTEM RESOLVE TECHNOLOGY
After arriving at my final building proposal my next step involved devloping the buildings systems. Taking inspiration from precedents I analysed the following -
1. Geometry / STRUCTURAL STRATEGY / I investigated the pompidou as precedent for my structral strategy as it offered a strong example of how the building relfects its programme/function.
2. Lighting / Analysising light within my building - location of light chimneys to achieve greater lighting conditions in the deeper sections of my building.
3. Air / How my building is heated and cooled and how the building is powered - "STOLEN" from the mmu Birley Campus CHP Plant, this would reduce the carbon footprint used by my building.
4. Water / It allowed me to explore my water capturing system which could reflect and stimulate the childrens sense - harvested and filtered through instruments that collected into an underground water tank which is then used for irragtion.
5. Mass / exploring the materailty and the construction of my facade - vertical garden

The main aim of my structure was that it allowed for maximum flexibitity with the interior spaces of my building -
Indoor garden loacated at the south end of my building to recieve maximum sunlight - Light chimneys to direct sunlight deeper into the building.
