Plant Species
For my south facing wall I wanted to include a living wall, that would encourage agriculture and cultivation of organic produce. Agriculture will be part of the schools curriculum; the living wall will refer to this while acting as screen to reduce glare from the south facing sun. I looked at Ian Simsons Vertical Garden in Deangate as a precdent - it ment that plants would be suitable for my free school as it will grow in the same climate. The plants were potted into a grided structure - although this creates strict space for the plants to fit in. It also allows for the freedom in deciding where plants will be placed and the order they're potted; meaning within the order they can be chaos and archaic patterns in the composition of plants.

A small section of my vertical wall that identifys and explores the irrigation system and plant species -
1. water enter through irragtion tube at the top
2. water is filtered and passes through the polyplumb pipes
3. excess water is drained into a container
4. excess water is then drained from the container - which can then be redestributed, so that the cycle may continue.
