ANARCHIST TEACHING
Beginning to think how my programme will reflect the anarchist values of the free school and building; what will they teach, how will they teach/learn and how this differes from tradtional teaching.
anarchist values
What would they teach as opposed to capitalist politics which advocate racist, sexist and other inegaliterian ideas...
1. Self care/ emotonal and phyical, fostering a healthy learning environment.
2. Farming, carpentary, cooking and physial education
a creative relationship between courses and materials.
3. Encourage to see education as a life long process - as they become and adult learning becoming increaslingly self - directed. However individuals would still have the opportunity to return offering further course in their education.
4. Using all senses and perceptions, creating an environment whereby the are allowed to experiance learning in a varity of stimulating ways allowing students to develop there own interests and passions.
5. Working in smaller groups that provide more personal working environments and contribute to building a closer report between "student/teacher"
who will teach?
Teachers would come from the commnuity based on what they know and how they teach, not the credentials they have earned. Hulme has a wealth of talented people and is a commnity that would be able to provide and teach variety of skills.
