FURTHER DEVELOPMENT

Through the development of my design it became apparent that my building didn't fully reflect the ANARCHY. "The aesthetics of anarchy is based on a new interpretation of art and human creativity: an art without rules"  Although my building reflected some aspects anarchy in the sense that there was a constant movement and flux between walls and modular spaces.  The building was entirley based on a grid structure which in turn created a regimented design that failed to reflect the full aesthtics of anarchy.

Using my previous model I began to experiment with new forms, thinking about the juxtopostion of the different floors and how they may intersect with one another to create new spaces.

Juxtoposing elements of the building I thought about the contrast of organic and geometric shapes and how the introduction of organic forms could construct spaces within the built form and reflect this "art without rules". Its important that my design allows for non-discriptive spaces to allow for multiple functions, using Tschumi method of illustrating space (Manhattan Transcripts) I began to transcribe the relationship between spaces and their use; between "type" and "program," between objects and events. I began this process with a series of paintings that  portrayed the possible use of the building according to its program.

After interpreting a series of movements by the users and events, I created a series of models that represented each painting. Building upwards to create a series of small sketch models that tanslated a sequence of spaces.

Simplyfying my models to a series of lines as way diagramming possible spaces within the building, according to circulations of users and program in an attempt to reflect anarchy. A combination of chaos and order juxtapostions to create an aesthetic "an art with out rules". Continuing on with this I aim to translate these diagrams into plans, how they may influence the articulation of spaces and function. How the juxtoposition of these forms will impact structure, shape and the facade of the building.
