Throughout Manchesters history there has been a constant restlessness amoungst the people un-statified with their current situation and willing do something about it. Examples through history that exemplify Manchesters anarchical past, large numbers of people gathering to voice their opinon within the public realm. Within the confines of my buildings programme, I think that it is important to have a space in which people can gather to discuss issues, a non-discript environment that would be free for people to use for whatever purpose they see fit.
